This Dave Graney’s first gig in Darwin for a decade so don’t miss it. Tickets available on-line at
Emerging from the early 80′s post punk scene with the Moodists and later with the White Buffaloes and the Coral Snakes, Dave Graney has been been one of Australia’s most interesting (and best dressed) independent musicians. Although awarded an ARIA in 1996 for “Best Male Vocalist”, Dave Graney has firmly remained outside the mainstream and mined his own seam of rock and roll that incorporates elements of lounge, cabaret and strange psychedelic country. The Happy Yess is absolutely thrilled to announce that Dave Graney and his band The Lurid Yellow Mist will perform in The Brown’s Mart courtyard on June 11. This will be a special night as Dave launches his new his new album “Rock and Roll is Where I Hide” and his rock memoir “1001 Australian Nights” (which has been described by Mess and Noise as “a heroic book”) charting Graney’s weird journey through the Oz rock dreamscape.
